On March 19, 2025, at the Sam Mountain heritage site in An Giang, a special cultural event took place — the ceremony to receive the UNESCO certificate recognizing the festival as an Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity, combined with the “Lady of the Realm Festival on Sam Mountain.” The sacred and vibrant atmosphere attracted tens of thousands of pilgrims, locals, and tourists from all over. Not only a traditional religious activity, the event was elevated by modern technology applications, most notably a large-scale projection system with hundreds of square meters of outdoor and transparent LED displays, directly implemented and operated by Alta Media — a leading company in projection and event technology integration.

With the goal of delivering a vivid, modern visual experience while preserving the sacred architectural beauty of the heritage site, Alta Media designed a display system combining transparent LED displays and traditional outdoor LED displays. The total installation area reached over 300 square meters at the main stage area, creating a synchronized, high-class, and captivating visual effect.

Among them, the P3.91 – 7.82 transparent LED display was installed with a total area of 129 square meters at the main stage frame. This model features high resolution with a pixel pitch of 3.91mm (horizontal) and 7.82mm (vertical), delivering sharp images and smooth display effects even at close viewing distances. With up to 70% light transparency, the display made the presentation space stand out without obstructing the background view — a crucial factor for sacred locations like Sam Mountain. Additionally, its lightweight, thin, modular design made it easy to install and dismantle, ideal for large outdoor events that require quick and safe setups.

Furthermore, a P8.3 transparent LED display, covering 77.76 square meters, was added. With an 8.3mm pixel pitch and up to 90% transparency, this display ensured clear visuals for images, videos, and graphic effects while maintaining the festival’s architectural aesthetics. The P8.3 transparent LED also boasted high brightness (up to 6000 nits), performing reliably under direct sunlight — an ideal choice for long-lasting outdoor events.

Essential to the system were specialized outdoor LED displays used to display the main content on both sides of the stage. The P3 Outdoor LED display, covering 50 square meters, was installed at the center of the stage — where rituals, performances, and key showcases took place. With a 3mm pixel pitch, it delivered ultra-sharp images suitable for close-range viewing and high detail demands. The SMD1921 technology allowed it to function well under strong lighting while maintaining color accuracy and consistency throughout the event.

In parallel, Alta Media deployed the P4 Outdoor LED display with an area of 49.5 square meters. With a 4mm pixel pitch and brightness up to 6000 nits, the P4 display ensured clear visibility from a distance. This was a cost-effective solution for areas with large audiences while still maintaining image quality.

All equipment was directly installed, technically configured, content programmed, and operated on-site by Alta Media, ensuring continuous operation in harsh outdoor conditions. Notably, the entire system met IP65 waterproof standards, had a high refresh rate (≥1920Hz), wide viewing angles, and LED lifespan of over 100,000 hours — perfectly suited for large-scale events, live broadcasts, and high aesthetic demands.

The 2025 Lady of the Realm Festival on Sam Mountain was not only a key cultural event in the Southwest region of Vietnam, but also a moment for traditional Vietnamese culture to shine on a modern technological foundation. With a professional LED display event system, Alta Media contributed to enhancing the value of the festival’s presentation, creating a sacred and impressive performance space, and affirming the capabilities of Vietnamese enterprises in large-scale event technology integration.
