TOP 5 CUTTING - EDGE PROJECTION TECHNOLOGIES REDEFINING EVENTS IN 2025
TOP 5 CUTTING – EDGE PROJECTION TECHNOLOGIES REDEFINING EVENTS IN 2025
In the increasingly competitive event industry, projection technology has become a key factor in creating distinction. From massive LED displays to immersive holographic effects, each technology is not just a visual aid but a transformative highlight that can make an event truly unforgettable. This article will help you discover the five most prominent projection technologies in 2025 that businesses and professional event organizers cannot afford to miss.
As audiences’ expectations for visual experiences at events rise, the role of projection technology goes beyond simply displaying information—it has become an integral part of storytelling artistry. Each projection solution—from LED mesh and 3D mapping to AR/VR—has the power to touch viewers’ emotions, creating “wow” moments that spread widely across social media.
In 2025, with the trend toward outdoor events, open spaces, and interactive performances, cutting-edge projection technologies will be the “trump card” to help brands stand out in the crowd.

Alta Media deployed nearly 110m² of Transparent LED screen systems.
1. LED Mesh – Flexible projection for open stages
LED Mesh is the top choice for outdoor stages or spaces requiring high aesthetics. Its semi-transparent mesh design enables vibrant visual effects while seamlessly allowing light and acoustics to flow through. When active, LED Mesh creates the illusion of images floating in mid-air, delivering a unique visual depth. Conversely, when not in use, it is nearly “invisible,” not obstructing stage lighting or disrupting to surrounding architectural layouts. The biggest advantage of this technology is its rain resistance and strong wind tolerance, making it ideal for outdoor events under adverse weather conditions.
2. Projection mapping – “Light Sculpting” on any surface
More than simple projection, Projection Mapping transforms any surface—from buildings and columns to stages—into dynamic visual displays. By precisely synchronizing digital visuals with physical structures, this technology unlocks immersive brand storytelling and dynamic cultural reenactment through an entirely new visual language. Combined with specialized sound and lighting, the 3D effects create true depth perception, awakening all the viewer’s senses. Projection Mapping is especially suited for brand launches, technology exhibitions, interactive museums, or heritage-themed events. Alta Media applied this technology at HOUSE of TECH, delivering a remarkable performance that left a strong impression on visitors.

3. Hologram – When virtual images become astonishingly real
Hologram technology is among the most impressive projection innovations today, allowing 3D images to float in mid-air without the need for screens or special glasses. This groundbreaking “materialization” effect makes viewers feel as though they are observing a tangible object, even though it is purely an optical projection. With its ability to vividly and flexibly simulate products, characters, or messages, holograms are popular for product launches, exhibition booths, and interactive stages. Another strength lies in its integration with sound and lighting systems, creating synchronized effects that elevate the visual experience. Alta Media currently offers a range of holographic devices, including the HoloBox, Holo Fan, and Holo Tube, catering to all creative projection scenarios for clients.
4. LED P3/P4 – The backbone of every professional stage
Despite emerging new technologies, LED remains the central choice for most events. With high resolution, strong brightness, and flexible sizing options, LED P3 and P4 screens effectively meet projection needs from small to large scales, both indoors and outdoors. Beyond displaying videos and images, LED screens serve as an integral part of stage design, adding depth, highlights, and coherence to the overall program. Another notable advantage is their durability for extended use, ideal for livestreams, live projection, or multi-platform integration. Alta Media deployed 480.5m² of outdoor LED P3 at Malto Shake Fest 2025, delivering stunning visual effects and enhancing the experience for thousands of attendees.
5. AR/VR – Expanding experiences beyond physical space
While traditional technologies still dominate, augmented reality (AR) and virtual reality (VR) projection open up entirely new interactive spaces. Rather than just “watching,” attendees can directly control, explore, and interact with content personalized for each user. AR/VR technology not only extends interaction time but also increases brand recall, particularly effective in exhibitions, technology museums, and experiential education zones. When combined with touchscreens, LED displays, or gesture-control devices, AR/VR delivers an immersive and captivating experience.
Projection technology is the “emotional trigger” of any event. Choosing the right technology and the right provider not only helps you leave a deep impression on audiences but also elevates the entire brand communication and marketing strategy. With over a decade of experience in technology, Alta Media proudly offers cutting-edge projection solutions—from creative concepts to practical implementation—.transforming every event into a dynamic platform to amplify ideas, evoke emotions, and drive impactful engagement.

In the central performance zone, a standout highlight was the giant Heineken can-shaped LED installation. Designed as a cylindrical LED structure, the display curved flexibly to replicate the exact form of a beer can, becoming a striking visual centerpiece of the entire event. Branded promotions, special offers, inspirational messages, and identity visuals were continuously projected across its surface, transforming the LED sculpture into a dynamic and captivating media hub. With its 360-degree display capability, fluid animation, and high brightness, the LED Heineken cannot only draw attention from afar but also become one of the event’s most popular check-in spots.

DISTINGUISHING AR AND VR: CHOOSE THE RIGHT TECHNOLOGY TO ELEVATE YOUR EVENT
AR and VR are two standout technologies that are redefining user experiences in events and marketing campaigns. Yet, many still struggle to distinguish clearly between the two, leading to suboptimal applications. Alta Media invites you to explore the key differences between AR and VR—so you can confidently choose the right technology to take your event to the next level.
As the digital transformation of customer experiences accelerates, AR (Augmented Reality) and VR (Virtual Reality) have emerged as leading forces in experiential technology. However, not everyone fully grasps the critical differences between these technologies, and as a result, may miss the opportunity to harness each one’s full potential. This article will guide you in clearly identifying AR and VR, helping you select the most suitable solution for your brand’s event or marketing campaign.

AR and VR: Unlocking distinctive experiences
Understand to apply effectively
Digital technology is dramatically transforming how people interact with the world. Among the most prominent innovations are AR (Augmented Reality) and VR (Virtual Reality)—two groundbreaking tools opening up new possibilities across media, education, healthcare, and entertainment. But to apply them effectively, it’s crucial to understand their core functionalities and distinct applications.
AR – Enhancing reality with digital layers
AR does not replace the real world—it enhances it. Users still see their actual surroundings, but digital images, sounds, and data are overlaid via smartphone screens, tablets, or AR glasses. AR is ideal for interactive brand activations, product showcases, user guides, or outdoor gaming experiences, allowing brands to create engaging, real-world interactions augmented by digital content.
VR – Immersing you in an entirely new world
In contrast, VR builds a fully simulated 3D environment where users can move, interact, and explore without interference from the physical world. Through specialized VR headsets, users are fully immersed in experiences, from gaming and medical simulations to virtual property tours. VR is best suited for scenarios that require full immersion and high-fidelity simulation

AR and VR Offer distinct experiences
Key differences to help you choose the right fit
When deciding between AR and VR for your event or marketing campaign, it’s essential to grasp their fundamental differences. Below are the core elements that set these two technologies apart, helping you make informed, strategic choices
Experience environment
AR: Enhances the real world by overlaying digital elements onto it. This allows users to interact with their actual surroundings, making AR ideal for crowded events and on-site activations, as it’s more accessible and less intrusive than VR.
VR: Creates a fully immersive, separate digital world. Users are transported away from reality into a simulated environment, best suited for controlled environments and individualized experiences that emphasize immersion and uniqueness.
Equipment Requirements
AR: Leverages widely accessible devices like smartphones or basic AR glasses—easy to integrate into public events or consumer interactions.
VR: Requires specialized equipment, such as VR headsets, controllers, and motion sensors, which are more technologically intensive and often suited to structured or individual experiences.
Interaction Capabilities
AR: Offers simple interaction models—usually via touch screens or basic gestures. This makes AR more intuitive for users unfamiliar with tech setups.
VR: Enables complex interactions in a virtual environment. Users often engage through controllers, haptic gloves, or motion tracking, allowing for richer, but more equipment-reliant experiences.
Understanding these distinctions is a critical first step for any business aiming to integrate immersive technology into its communication strategy. Whether your goal is to create broad engagement or offer a deeply immersive journey, the right choice depends on your event scale, audience, and interaction goals.
At Alta Media, we offer more than just equipment—we bring ideas to life. From consulting and concept development to on-site setup and technical execution, our team delivers comprehensive end-to-end support tailored to your brand’s objectives.

INTERACTIVE TECHNOLOGY TAKES CENTER STAGE: 5 KEY TRENDS SHAPING USER EXPERIENCE IN 2025
2025 marks a pivotal shift in how personalization and enhanced user experiences are driven by interactive technologies. Beyond simply “making an impression,” today’s innovations usher in an era of intelligent experiences, where users are empowered to actively engage with vivid, immersive content. Alta Media offers expert insights into five standout interactive technology trends that will define user experiences in 2025.
User experience is no longer just about “touchpoints”—it has evolved into an emotional journey, where every interaction must deliver seamless, emotionally engaging, and personalized value at every stage. The rapid pace of technological advancement has shaped a new generation of digital users who are more discerning than ever. They expect responsive, multidimensional, real-time interactions that adapt to their personal needs. In this landscape, staying ahead of the curve by adopting the leading interactive technology trends of 2025 is the key to elevating customer experiences and maximizing business outcomes.

Mixed Reality Delivers Immersive, Hyper-Real Experiences
Mixed Reality – Bridging Virtual and Physical Worlds
Mixed Reality (MR) — a powerful blend of Virtual Reality (VR) and Augmented Reality (AR) — creates a fully interactive environment where digital objects not only appear in the real world but also respond to users and surroundings in real time. MR goes far beyond simple information overlays: it creates intuitive and immersive user interactions that allow users to touch, rotate, move, and manipulate digital elements as if they physically existed.
In malls, showrooms, and experiential events, MR unlocks new ways for customers to interact with products, without even touching them. From virtually testing furniture in a real-world setting via wearable devices to accessing step-by-step tutorials projected directly on retail shelves, MR delivers vivid, intuitive, and convincing encounters. Customers can rotate, zoom in, change colors, or modify product features right before their eyes, transforming each engagement into a tailored exploratory experience. MR is the bridge between the physical and digital realms, helping brands leave a lasting impression on users’ minds.
Real-Time Personalization Powered by AI
Artificial Intelligence (AI) is fundamentally reshaping how brands connect with consumers. By collecting and analyzing behavioral data, AI enables interactive systems to deliver personalized content in real time. Static screens are becoming a thing of the past — now, every customer engaging with a smart kiosk or digital signage can receive tailored messages, promotions, or product recommendations specific to their preferences.
Gamification: Turning Interaction into Engagement
Gamification is no longer reserved for gaming — it’s becoming a strategic pillar in user experience design. By incorporating game-like elements such as challenges, points, levels, and leaderboards, brands can transform simple interactions into emotionally compelling, reward-driven digital engagements.
In the media and event space, Alta Media is actively integrating gamification into interactive activations and exhibition setups. At booths and immersive zones, visitors can scan QR codes to join mini-games, collect points, unlock hidden content, and win prizes, transforming passive viewership into active exploration.
Beyond boosting engagement, gamification is a powerful tool for collecting behavioral data, analyzing preferences, and optimizing communication and sales strategies. By making experiences “playable,” users become more enthusiastic, involved, and likely to return, creating sustained brand-consumer connections.

Smart Displays and Real-Time Interaction
In the digital age, display technology has evolved far beyond static content. Smart displays now integrate AI, sensors, big data, and remote controls, redefining real-time information delivery and audience interaction. Users no longer simply watch — they interact. They can touch, scan, gesture, and even use voice commands to engage with content.
The standout feature of this trend is its instant responsiveness to user behavior, allowing real-time personalization and extended attention spans. In retail, smart screens can adapt content based on age, gender, or facial expressions. At conferences and events, interactive displays enable real-time voting, live Q&A, and audience participation, fostering deeper engagement and co-creation.
Modern display tech is no longer just visually impactful — it’s a two-way communication bridge, where every glance becomes a valuable interaction.
360° Projection & Interactive LED
LED technology has moved beyond simple display — it’s now an intelligent interaction tool. By integrating sensors, LED screens can respond to viewer movements, adapting visuals and lighting based on position, speed, or even emotions (with AI-powered cameras).
Alta Media is at the forefront of this evolution, pioneering transparent LED, curved LED, and mesh LED formats, paired with real-time content control systems. This advancement enables brands to create immersive, reactive environments where lighting and visuals dynamically adjust to user behavior, creating deeply immersive, multi-sensory user journeys.

To commemorate the 135th birthday of President Ho Chi Minh (May 19, 1890 – May 19, 2025), a national exhibition titled “President Ho Chi Minh – National Essence, Era-Defining Legacy” was solemnly held at the Ho Chi Minh Relic Site – Presidential Palace in Hanoi. This exhibition not only serves as a symbolic act of remembrance but also aims to inspire and educate younger generations about patriotism, devotion, and the remarkable revolutionary life of President Ho Chi Minh.

Location: Ho Chi Minh Relic Site – Presidential Palace, Hanoi
As the interactive technology provider for the exhibition, Alta Media is proud to contribute cutting-edge display solutions, touch-enabled devices, and modern support systems that foster emotional engagement with historical content in a vivid, intuitive way.
A standout tech feature of the exhibition is the experiential zone “Uncle Ho in Our Hearts – A Journey Through Heritage,” themed “The Peugeot 404 and the Journey Serving Uncle Ho.” In this space, Alta Media deployed two high-power 9K laser projectors to screen rare archival footage of the Peugeot 404—an iconic vehicle closely linked to Uncle Ho’s daily life and work during his final years. The cinematic-grade projection, high resolution, and lifelike imagery allow visitors to relive simple, intimate moments from the past, creating an immersive historical experience.
Additionally, another laser projector was installed in the cultural heritage experience area, offering an open-format historical content display that supports educational programs for students and the general public. This space reimagines traditional values through a technological lens, making cultural heritage more engaging and accessible.

Beyond projection technology, Alta Media integrated interactive touch displays to create dynamic educational touchpoints. Specifically, three 55-inch wall-mounted touch screens were equipped with two core applications: Gallery and Quiz. The Gallery – Allows users to browse curated historical photo collections categorized by theme, enhanced by concise descriptions that make the content accessible and engaging. The Quiz – A knowledge-based interactive platform featuring questions on Uncle Ho’s life and legacy, turning learning into an immersive experience.
Another exhibition highlight includes a 65-inch touch screen with a flexible stand, featuring the Book app—a digital library interface where visitors can flip through pages of biographical content, memoir excerpts, and eyewitness accounts. This interactive archive serves as a bridge between scholarly research and public engagement, making historical records more accessible, especially for students researching President Ho Chi Minh.

The entire interactive system runs on a suite of five high-performance mini PCs, ensuring seamless multimedia operation while supporting easy maintenance and content updates throughout the exhibition period.
Through this comprehensive technological deployment, Alta Media not only brings innovation into a historic space but also reimagines how cultural heritage is experienced—making it more contemporary, relatable, and emotionally engaging. The integration of interactive technology enhances rather than detracts from the solemnity of the exhibition, especially for younger audiences accustomed to digital-first learning.

AUTOMATIC SAMPLING MACHINE – A BRAND ACTIVATION SOLUTION FOR THE “STING – BLUEBERRY BOOST” CAMPAIGN DEVELOPED BY ALTA MEDIA
AUTOMATIC SAMPLING MACHINE – A BRAND ACTIVATION SOLUTION FOR THE “STING – BLUEBERRY BOOST” CAMPAIGN DEVELOPED BY ALTA MEDIA
In the digital age, where immersive experiences and interactivity drive marketing success, crafting impactful brand touchpoints is essential for establishing a lasting presence in consumers’ minds. The “Sting – Blueberry Boost” campaign marks a strategic collaboration between three leading technology and media innovators: Unigons, Alta Media, and Alta Software. By merging creative ideation, physical product design, and advanced software development, the project introduces an innovative brand activation solution—the Automatic Sampling Machine.

Within this integrated ecosystem, Unigons led conceptualization and on-site operations, Alta Software developed mini-game software, integrated the Zalo Mini App, and built the reward control system, while Alta Media spearheaded UI/UX design, brand identity visualization, and full-scale hardware production.
Unlike traditional sampling models, the Automatic Sampling Machine is engineered as a comprehensive user interaction platform—a dynamic medium for delivering vivid, direct, and memorable brand messages. For this campaign, Alta Media meticulously crafted the user interface, branded decal system, and industrial-grade hardware. The UI/UX design ensures users instantly engage with the campaign’s mini-game, while the touchscreen LCD display is optimized for intuitive navigation and seamless interaction, tailored to Vietnamese users’ digital habits.
A standout feature of the Automatic Sampling Machine is its distinct Sting Blueberry branding, brought to life by Alta Media’s design team through custom decals applied to each machine. These graphics align precisely with Sting’s brand guidelines while being visually enhanced to command attention in crowded environments such as malls, pedestrian streets, and event venues. Using high-quality printing and weather-resistant materials, the decal system protects the machine while maintaining long-term durability and visual appeal.

Beyond design, Alta Media also manufactured the Automatic Sampling Machine hardware in-house – a task requiring precision engineering and integrated technology. The casing was custom-built from proprietary 3D designs and incorporates advanced components like a camera sensor, LCD controller, automated gift dispenser, and a QR code scanner synchronized with the digital platform. The entire system is engineered for effortless installation, easy maintenance, and seamless scalability for nationwide deployment.
Thanks to its modular smart architecture, the machine can be easily customized for various marketing campaigns. Alta Media doesn’t just deliver a single-use product; it provides a reusable platform that allows brands to adapt interface visuals and user journeys based on evolving communication goals. This flexibility offers a distinct advantage – reducing long-term costs while continuously refreshing brand engagement.

While the project’s success stems from the collaboration between Unigons (concept & operations) and Alta Software (software & logic systems), Alta Media remains the driving force in delivering a visually engaging, seamless, and user-friendly interaction layer.
With extensive experience in LED display solutions, interactive devices, and technology-driven media systems, Alta Media is redefining the role of physical installations in brand storytelling. The Automatic Sampling Machine exemplifies a user-centric design approach, merging aesthetics, engineering, and technology to create a powerful, lasting, and highly shareable brand touchpoint.
At a time when consumers seek experiences as much as products, investing in smart communication tools such as the Automatic Sampling Machine signals a brand’s deep market insight, progressive mindset, and commitment to meaningful consumer engagement.
Alta Media is proud to support Vietnamese brands in transforming audience interactions at public touchpoints—where experience becomes the most compelling message.
