ALTA MEDIA DESIGNS SUSPENDED TRANSPARENT LED DISPLAY FOR HAN SARA’S “UNFROZEN” MINI CONCERT

On the evening of July 26 at Capital Theatre, Ho Chi Minh City, Han Sara’s mini concert “UNFROZEN” officially took the stage—delivering a deeply personal, emotional, and artistic performance. Beyond the music, the stage—executed by Alta Media—left a lasting impression with a highly distinctive LED setup: a Transparent LED display totaling 59m², suspended diagonally from the ceiling in a rare reverse-tilted structure. This created a visually striking presentation rarely seen in solo concerts in Vietnam.

The stage design was defined by the elevated Transparent LED system, tilted toward the audience like a “digital ceiling,” reflecting synchronized emotions, visuals, and narratives across each performance. Unlike traditional LED screens, Transparent LED allows light to pass through the display surface, maintaining a spacious feel while still delivering sharp, high-contrast visuals—even under full-stage lighting conditions.

To ensure safe and stable operation throughout the concert, Alta Media engineered a custom mounting frame for the LED structure, precisely angled to optimize the audience’s visual experience from the main viewing axis. With high resolution and flexible content delivery, the LED display functioned as a “second layer of performance”—where dynamic elements such as blooming roses, animated effects, shadows, light, and motion graphics were meticulously crafted to deepen the emotional connection between artist and audience.

The display was not merely a visual background—it also interacted seamlessly with lighting and stage systems. Thanks to its transparent nature, lighting from lasers, moving heads, and wash beams could pass through effortlessly, layering spatial effects. When paired with fog effects and synchronized content playback, the screen created a floating illusion, visually detaching the motion graphics from the physical stage below. Effects like shifting chains, black roses, and animated checkerboards brought a three-dimensional quality to the visuals.

This design was developed by Alta Media specifically for medium-scale fan meetings requiring high visual impact. By using a reverse-hanging Transparent LED, the team was able to expand the stage’s visual depth without obstructing the layout or creating a closed-off feel—an essential factor for indoor venues like the Capital Theatre. The complete structure included a circular truss system, the main tilted LED frame, and synchronized RGB lighting borders, creating a fully integrated audiovisual ecosystem.

While Alta Media has previously implemented Transparent LED for commercial events, exhibitions, and outdoor shows, “UNFROZEN” marks a bold step forward—bringing this high-end LED technology into the realm of personal artistic performances.
